Finally went grocery shopping today after planning out all my meals and cutting my coupons last night.

Monday: A lot of running around yesterday, so it was make-your-own. Nobody was really hungry, anyway.

Tuesday: Tonight was burgers and dogs on the grill with potato salad and cut-up veggies. The burger patties were pre-made at the grocery store and so was the potato salad. The burgers were amazing - cracked pepper and garlic. They were on sale, so I couldn't resist.

Wednesday: Chris's day to go into work and Lauren is having oral surgery, so I won't be cooking.

Thursday: Caesar chicken wraps and corn on the cob.

Friday: Provolone turkey sandwiches

Saturday: Something grilled, more than likely

Sunday: We're going to see Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, so I won't be cooking!

This is a busy week, and it probably won't go the way I'm planning, meal-wise. But here's what's on my list to choose from:

Monday: We had leftovers from yesterday's Mother's Day cookout

Tuesday: I made Bob Evan's Sausage Scramble and served with biscuits. Recipe found here.

Wednesday: I was on a field trip all day, then took the girls to swim lessons, so we got subs.

Thursday: Spaghetti salad

Friday: I am going away overnight to the beach with my girlfriends, so the family is on their own!

Saturday: I'll be back late, so again, on their own.

Sunday: Asian-flavored drumsticks

Yet another cooking meme, this time from I'm an Organizing Junkie. I'm a little obsessive about making lists, so this will be fun. It takes me a couple of hours to make my meal list, then my grocery list and then cut my coupons. But it definitely saves aggravation (wondering what to cook), and money as well.

This week:

Monday: We had meatloaf, mashed sweet potatoes and steamed green beans

Tuesday: Shrimp Lo-Mein and eggrolls

Wednesday: I'll make French toast for myself and the kids; my husband works from home but goes into work one day a week and stays late. I usually make breakfast for dinner on those nights since it's just three of us.

Thursday: Flank steak wraps

Friday: Chicken and black bean burritos

Saturday: Mom isn't cooking!
