Four Foods on Friday #43

  • Aug. 22nd, 2008 at 12:32 AM

Somehow I missed FFOF #42; wasn't paying attention, I guess. So here's #43, once again barely in time!

#1. What do you drink to rehydrate in the heat or after working out?

We dropped our YMCA membership after we bought our treadmill a few weeks ago, but when I was going there, I always got a berry or grape flavored Dasani water from the vending machine when I was done. I'm not a big fan of plain water; it can make me nauseous if I drink too much of it.

#2. What do you eat to help boost or create energy?

The new Snickers bar that has caffeine is a new favorite.

#3. What’s the healthiest snack you eat?

I really like sliced apples with caramel dip. Not sure how healthy the caramel is, but I love it!

#4. Share a recipe or instructions for your ideal three course meal.

My favorite three-course meal is a salad (with fat-free dressing), a medium-rare steak with baked sweet potato, and maybe a little something for dessert. It's what I always get a Longhorn Steakhouse.

Anele from True Aloha.com
Finally another water loather! LOL I have tried everything to make water palettable (sp?) but to no avail. It has to be super ice cold for me to drink it. I get the bottle out with the best of intentions but...:D

Re: Anele from True Aloha.com
Definitely has to be cold when I drink it at all! My husband drinks tons of water from the tap without ice or anything and it just grosses me out.

Apples & Caramel Dip are a great snack choice!
Stopped by for Four Foods on Friday, sorry to be anon. but I don't have OpenID and I don't use LiveJournal :)

The Apple Dippers with Low Fat Caramel Dip at McDonald's are the lowest calorie and fat item on their menu!

Apple Dippers w/Low Fat Caramel Dip [3.2 oz] (100 cal/0.5 g fat/0 g fiber/24 g carbs) 2

So enjoy!

Yes,I get those when I go there, along with the fruit and yogurt parfait.

It's just at home that my apples and caramel are a little less healthy, since I used a lot more caramel than McD's give me!

I had one with a bottle of Diet Coke one afternoon, and was buzzing all day into the evening! Got a lot done that day.

My favorite meal has to be steak and a baked sweet potato. Cheesecake would top it off. Karen

I like baked sweet potatoes, too. I didn't know they made Snickers Bars with caffeine.

I'm not sure if the caffeinated Snickers are limited edition or not, so if you find one, grab it!
